My Therapeutic approach
Tailoring Therapy to You
Creative and Flexible Methods
Building a Strong Therapeutic Relationship
As an Integrative Therapist, my approach is as unique as you are. I blend various therapeutic methods, aiming to empower you with choices and control over the direction your therapy takes.
Sometimes, words alone can't capture what you're feeling, so I like to think outside the box. We might get creative and use things like pens, playdough, sand, or buttons to explore your thoughts and feelings. Alternatively, a 'walk and talk' session outdoors could be more beneficial than a traditional therapy room setting.
The cornerstone of effective therapy is a strong, supportive relationship between you and your therapist. I strive to create an environment where you feel safe, accepted, and validated, laying the foundation for meaningful growth and change.
Core Discipline: Transactional Analysis
My core discipline is Transactional Analysis (TA). Simply put, TA helps you understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, revealing how past experiences can affect your adult life. Its fundamental tenets are that 'Everyone is OK' and 'Everyone has the capacity to think and change.' For more insights on how TA can benefit you, click here.
